Perham's Brett Christiansen featured in Prairie Business mag's 40 under 40
Brett Christiansen, engineering manager at Arvig, was selected on Prairie Business magazine's 2018 40 under 40 list. The list highlights 40 of the top business professionals under the age of 40 in the northern Plains.
Christiansen, a Perham resident, appears in the December issue of the magazine.
"I was taken back and wasn't expecting it whatsoever," Christiansen said when he heard he made the list. "It finally sums up what I've been trying up here. I go the extra inch to make things right, now things are paying off." Christiansen says he believes he stands out because of his honesty and diligence. "People realize I'm a real person, and I'm not going to step around the outside."
"We are extremely proud to see Brett named as one of the top 40 professionals under 40 in our region by Prairie Business," said Andy Klinnert, Director of Network Operations at Arvig, and Brett's supervisor, according to a press release. "I am certain the positive impact he has already had in our industry will only continue to grow. But even more so than our industry, through his work and personal character, the positive impact he has had on the lives of the residents across the region is what I hold in the highest regard."
"The region's economy is strong, and that's really giving young people an opportunity to shine," said Tom Dennis, editor of Prairie Business. "And not only are these high achievers standouts in their work, but also they show exceptional devotion to their families and communities. The work-life balance they've achieved is impressive—and in my view, that makes their individual success stories all the more inspiring."
Winners were nominated by supervisors or peers within their organizations. More than 125 nominations were received according to Prairie Business.
Prairie Business magazine is the only business-to-business magazine dedicated to the northern Plains region. More than 20,000 print and digital copies are distributed monthly.
