Four vehicles involved in overpass pile-up

Four Otter Tail County residents were involved in a four-vehicle pile-up at 4:43 p.m. Wednesday at the Highway 10 overpass on the south side of Perham.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina, a 2017 Suburu Impreza, a 2007 GMC Yukon and a 1983 Chevrolet S-10 were traveling southbound on Highway 78 when the S-10 rear-ended the Lumina forcing it to the right shoulder. The S-10 continued southbound and collided with the Yukon which rear-ended the Impreza.

Robert James Romaine, 71, of Ottertail was the driver of the S-10. Romaine was not injured.

Driving was the Lumina was 57-year-old Todd Lee Budke of Erhard. Budke was transported to Perham Health. His injuries were non-life threatening.

Sharon Constance Krause, 69, Ottertail, was also taken to Perham Health with non-life threatening injuries.

The Impreza was operated by 24-year-old Brendan Scott Hendricks of Richville. Hendricks was not injured.

All four drivers were wearing seat belts. No alcohol was involved. Road conditions were dry.

Responding agencies included the Perham Fire and Police Departments, the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office and Perham EMS personnel.
