Red River Valley Veterans concerts slated for May 3 in Perham

The Red River Valley Veterans Concert band will perform two concerts Thursday, May 3. The first convert will be held at Perham Living at 7 p.m. and the second concert will begin at 8:15 p.m. at The Perham Center for the Arts. Both concerts are free of charge and open to the public.

The Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band is a 40 — 52 piece group, whose season is from September to mid-June, performing 40 plus concerts a season. Often concert evenings have two performances, one concert for the veterans and elderly at a nursing home and another at a VFW, American Legion or other venue. The Veterans Band music honors all the branches of the services, Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard and Marines by playing their branch and having them stand to salute if able.

The Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band's musical mission is "Promoting Patriotism Through Music." The Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band has many veteran members, men and woman.
