Bingo, BBQ and storytelling spectacle at two NYM locations
The Cultural Center rounds out an eclectic spring performance season with events at two locations in New York Mills on Saturday, April 21.
Climb Theatre, with the support of the Cultural Center and Backwoods BBQ, offers an afternoon of fun for the whole family! Starting with Bingo at Backwoods from 2-4 p.m., the afternoon finishes with a play performance at the Cultural Center at 4:15 p.m.
Food and drinks are available to buy from Backwoods during bingo. Prizes for the games will include art pieces by local artists and artisans and cash prizes. Games, activities, and prizes for children will also be available at Backwoods from 2-4 p.m. Please arrive promptly to get your bingo packages.
Following Bingo, at 4:15 p.m. is a Humans of Minnesota performance in the intimate venue of the Cultural Center, just a block away from Backwoods BBQ.
Humans of Minnesota is a project of Climb Theatre of Minneapolis. In the Spring of 2017, Climb Theatre artists interviewed people in Otter Tail County over a two week period and have since created this performance from those interviews. Climb has created three other such events around the state. These events are supported by a Minnesota State Arts Board Arts Tour Grant and are made possible by the voters of Minnesota through the Land and Legacy Amendment.
Entrance to the show is pay-as-you're-able. Feel free to come for free.
