Phelps Mill Festival to kick off July 14 and 15
The 34th annual Phelps Mill Festival will be held July 14-15. Enjoy two full days of art, food entertainment and kids' activities. Phelps Mill County Park is located just north of Underwood.
Take a tour to explore the rich history of Otter Tail County and the historic mill. This year, Otter Tail County is celebrating 150 years, as part of the celebration Otter Tail County Historical Society will be giving tours all day Saturday of the historic Phelps Mill.
Visit Art Bar 39's booth anytime during the festival and for a nominal fee, you can paint an original work of art. All ages are welcome to be creative with no painting experience needed.
Artists and crafters from around the United States will be in attendance. Each exhibitor is handpicked by a panel of jurors to ensure quality and originality for the show. From paintings and prints, to jewelry and apparel, to furniture and pottery, everyone will find something special to take home.
Kids will be entertained all day. Kids' activities will be provided by Fergus Falls Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The entire family will find enjoyable events throughout the day. Find a place in the shade at the main stage and enjoy the entertainment.
Saturday Jerry Frasier, Comic Magician will be performing at noon and 2:45 p.m. An experienced entertainer of over 20 years, this former East Coast educator has a distinctive voice and comic energy that truly brings audience participation to a new level. Magical fun and laughs happen fast with Jerry.
Billy D and the Crystals will perform Saturday at 1:15 p.m. and 4 p.m. This band has been entertaining audiences for more than 40 years. They play a variety of music from the 50's to current hits. A crowd pleaser for all ages.
Sunday's Community Service and music is provided by Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. in the peaceful park setting. Performing at 12:45 on Sunday is Q5 Band. Performing for gatherings since 2007, The Q5 Band has entertained numerous crowds with their eclectic variety of musical selections from current rock, pop and country.
Several food vendors will serve fry bread, brats, pork chops, baked potatoes and root beer floats, just to name a few. Our food vendors are local non-profit groups fundraising and making some delicious treats for everyone to enjoy.
